Selection Sunday is over and the 68 college basketball teams
have been chosen. The 68 teams are made up of 32 Division I Conference
tournament winners and 36 teams chosen by the selection committee. However,
before the first round of March Madness can begin, the First Play-in Round will
begin tomorrow. In my 2024 march Madness Betting Update, there is a lot of
stuff to talk about so let’s get begin!
Possible Cinderella Teams
Everyone likes a good upset so I’m gonna start with my top matchups for upsetsSamford (13) vs Kansas (4) – Samford has a hell of a
head coach with Bucky Mcmilan with now 4 seasons under his belt. Despite starting
the job as a high school coach, he has been the Southern Conference’s coach of
the year for 3 straight years. This is their first time in the NCAA men’s basketball
tournament since 2000 and it. Why do I think they can become a Cinderella Team?
According to Bookie Pay Per head info,
they are hitting at a 39.3% on 3 pointers ranking 8th in the nation
and that could make the difference.
Oregon (11) vs South Carolina (6) – I know that this
is not a long shot but it could still become an underdog winning story. Once
again, my reason is because they got a great head coach. Dana Altman has shown over
and over that he can turn a game around. The last 3 times the Ducks were in
March madness, they have made it to round 2.
Charleston (13) vs Alabama (4)
The last time Charleston made the tournament was 2 years ago
and this year, they are back. They are a complete underdog but no one is
commenting having won their last 12 games. The nations’ second-longest winning
streak in college basketball! While this is just emotion, the kicker I that they
have pat Kelsey coaching them and if anyone can turn things around, it him. The
bookies have Charleston at =9.5 spread which is too high. So if you are
thinking about becoming a
bookie, these would be the lines to watch carefully.
