The Preakness Stakes is happening this Saturday and it's shaping up to be
an exciting day for racing. One of the reasons that it will be even more exciting
is that Mystic Dan, the Kentucky Derby winner will be running the race. Or at
least, it is for those who put in their Future Triple Crown horse bet on Mystic
Dan!
The Preakness Stakes is the second leg in one
of 3 Major Horse Racing Events for Bettors in the American Horse betting
market. With a $2 million purse at stake. This will be an exciting 1 3/16 mile
race at the Pimlico Race Course!
Preakness Stakes Preview
Jockey Brian Hernandez Jr. is aiming to lead his horse to triple crown glory, following in the footsteps of Justify in 2018. However, the competition is tough, with Mystik Dan being the second favorite behind Muth.Muth is a strong contender after winning the Arkansas Derby. Even though
he missed the Kentucky Derby due to Bob Baffert's ban, he could definitely make
an impact in this race.
Just Steel is a bit of a long shot with 15/1 odds, but has shown promise.
Despite finishing 17th in the Kentucky Derby, D Wayne Lukas' training could
make a difference.
According to Bookies, Mystik
Dan is the favorite with 5/2 odds after winning the Kentucky Derby and will be
at the fifth post. However, he didn't face any of Bob Baffert's horses in that
race, which he will have to contend with in the Preakness Stakes.
This is the first time since 2012
that a Kentucky Derby winner is considered an underdog at the Preakness Stakes,
with Muth and Mystik Dan having faced off once before at the Arkansas Derby.
During that race, Muth emerged victorious, leaving Mystik Dan in third place.
Although favorites have
historically performed well at the Preakness, the last five races have seen
underdogs come out on top. If Mystik Dan can outshine Muth at Pimlico, he will
be one step closer to achieving the prestigious triple crown. The final leg of
the triple crown will be the Belmont Stakes in early June.
It looks like this year will be a
very close race making a lot of horse bettors sweat. If that is the case, it
might just be better to just open a racebook
and be on the other side of the betting industry!

Preakness Stakes Prediction
Bet on Catching Freedom to Win
I’ll be putting my
money on Catching Freedom to win this race. In the previous race, Catching
Freedom finished in 4th place at the Kentucky Derby. But with Brad H. Cox and
Flavien Prat as a formidable team, I believe Catching Freedom has a good chance
of winning at odds of 6-1.
